Hi dolls, I've been flying all day and usually my skin would get super dry and uncomfortable but this time it stayed supple and I want to share with you my holiday skincare secrets!
One week before you go away make sure to exfoliate your body well with a scrub or exfoliating gloves. This will remove any dead skin, increase circulation and reveal healthier and more gorgeous skin!
2. Intense Moisture
Now you have the perfect base to intensely moisturise your body! Use a deeply hydrating moisturiser all over the body, twice a day. Some brands I like are Garnier and Aveeno. You can also use a body oil which helps lock in moisture! I'm using the Garnier body oil at the moment which smells divine and has a blend of 4 different nourishing oils!
3. Ban Dry
While flying skin tends to dry out. An amazing and simple tip to keep your skin soft is to generously apply baby oil to your body, neck and chest! Wait for this to dry and apply another layer! You might be a little shiny but its totally worth it! The baby oil trick is a celeb fave and Posh Beckham swears by it!
4. Beauty Face
Keep your face looking beautiful by applying a hydrating serum before your moisturiser! The Hydra Zen range by Lancôme are awesome products to bring on holiday. Next, apply a thick layer of your day cream, such as Clarins Multi Active day cream. If you have combination skin, I find that the Vichy NormaDerm range has some great products for you doll! Again, wait for this to dry and apply another thick layer. You can also bring a small sample on board with you and apply during then flight for extra moisture!
5. Avoid Dry Lips
This is one of my pet peeves! I can't stand dry and flaky lips. It's the worst. To combat this problem, I recommend to use the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream which will keep your lips smooth and kissable for hours! A cheaper alternative is using Vaseline and reapplying frequently!
6. Forget Granny Hands
Hands can become dry very quickly so I advise taking a thick hand cream with you while travelling and applying it often! A brand I find is good is the Vaseline hand and nails creams and they're very affordable!
Follow these steps Huns and you'll look amazing going away and your tan will last much longer and look healthier. P.S. don't forget to drink loads of water! Internal hydration is just as important as external!
Thanks for reading loves! Do you have any holiday tips? Let me know :)
